Ishara Musimwa is a PhD student in Economics at Boston University, Massachussets (USA). He has previously received a Master’s degree in Analysis and Policy in Economics (APE) from the Paris School of Economics (PSE), where he carried out research in the Macroeconomics group, under the supervision of Professor Gilles Saint-Paul. Prior to PSE, Ishara obtained a degree in Mathematical Methods in Economics from Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne and a Bachelor’s degree in Finance Management from Université Catholique de Bukavu.
In addition to macroeconomics, his research interests also include political economy and development economics, as an associate researcher at the École du leadership and CIREM affiliated to the Université Protestante au Congo in Kinshasa.
He also coordinates a project to support children’s education in eastern DRCongo.
